A Restaurant Review In Bad Taste
Today in the Lexington Herald-Leader Weekender under Dining there was a restaurant reveiw about the new restaurant on the Winchester, KY By-Pass called Sid's Place. This reveiw was so mistasteful; that it sounded like someone was paid to write a bad review about Sid's Place. The review was by a staff member of the Lexington Herald-Leader. They also included a picture of the front of the restaurant. It anyone would like to read the review go to : http://www.kentucky.com/721/story/365547.html and check it out. Send me your comments.

Evidently you are not familiar with this occupation nor are you familiar with the critic. The author/critic does not get paid to sugar coat the truth and I doubt he would be employeed by the Lexington Herald Leader if he were so weak that he accepted bribes for distasteful reviews(not mistaste). Restaurants have good days and bad. Unfortunately when Mr. Snyder visited Sid's Place it was obviously a bad day. The same critic just reviewed a restaurant called "Cafe on Main." The review was horrible so the manager asked him to revisit the facility hoping for a better follow up. The outcome was the same. He is just a very bold and blunt writer. I am assuming that is why he gets paid to do that job. It is very bold of you to make a distasteful comment that someone would pay a critic to give a bad review. And who are you insinuating paid him.....
I know the owner of Sid's Place and the reason's behind leaving Hall's on the River. It just sounded like something those managers would do to stop people from going to Sid's Place. Having cold food is one thing, but to make fun of the menu is another.
I know the owners of hall's on the river. They wish nothing but the best for sid. They have moved on to a much more exciting future with hall's.It is not halls fault that sids place got a bad review it is sids place for trying to be exactly like halls.
