Law of the Garbage Truck

One of my Moms sent this to me and I just had to share, let me know what you think.

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his breaks, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really friendly. So I asked, "Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!" This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, "The Law of the Garbage Truck." He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets. The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so... "Love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don't." Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it! 'The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.'

Controlling Moms????

I have three daughters and I have never met a mom I did not get along with until recently. One of my daughters has a friend whose mom is so controlling and does not lesson to anyone but her daughters. I know all moms want to believe their daughters are telling the truth, but we all know that there are two sides and both sides should be told. I hope all moms reading this understands what I'm talking about. Love your children and lessen to them when they talk to you, you will be surprised what they are trying to say.

A Restaurant Review In Bad Taste

Today in the Lexington Herald-Leader Weekender under Dining there was a restaurant reveiw about the new restaurant on the Winchester, KY By-Pass called Sid's Place. This reveiw was so mistasteful; that it sounded like someone was paid to write a bad review about Sid's Place. The review was by a staff member of the Lexington Herald-Leader. They also included a picture of the front of the restaurant. It anyone would like to read the review go to : http://www.kentucky.com/721/story/365547.html and check it out. Send me your comments.

Dads Staying At Home?

Today I added a Stay At Home Dad link to my web site. I think it's great! In today's world it doesn't matter witch parent stays at home. Our children just need someone that cares and who is there for them. It does not matter if it is a Dad, Mom or other guardian, they just feel better knowing that someone is there for them at home. So check out Stay At Home Dads this is a very informational web site.

APRIL FOOLS DAY

Today is April Fools Day, but I don't feel fooled at all. I feel like the luckiest mom to be able to see my daughters play softball and to see that home run hit. That makes it all worth while.
Do your research on moms working from home. You can see what a reward it can be. Have a great April Fools Day.
